When designing an architectural object, I am drawn first to the concept of the ideal woman. The perfect woman has radiance, a magnificent heart and soul and she also offers stunning looks, intelligence, good taste and comfort. The perfect woman is also practical and so, just like perfect architecture, she is beautiful on both the inside and the outside.
With this perfect woman in mind then, the architect must create a building exterior that has a unique expression, yet its esthetic form fits well within the context and history of its surrounds. And with this perfect woman in mind the architect must also craft interior surroundings that give a feeling of space, function, flow, and shared experiences.
This is a creation of a relaxed and comfortable living atmosphere that harmonizes with the environment that is, I believe, the foundation of life.
